Black Hammock August 25, 2007 On August 25th we spent the evening at the Black Hammock with friends from the corvette club. We meet at 4:00 and only a few people decided to do the air boat ride out on Lake Jessup. I guess everyone was afraid of the gators in the lake. Our guide was great and took us out looking for gators but only viewed one from a distance. The air boat was awesome the way it could move over shallow water, mud and grassy terrain. We did wear ear muffs because the boat is loud. We road for 40 min. then back to the dock. We then joined 12 other people for dinner inside the Black Hammock. The food was reasonable and the service was great. We had an other wonderful day out doors-as we were leaving about 8:00 it then started to pour down rain but it didn't put a damper on our day.
