Sixteen FCC cars and 27 members attended the 2001 Octobervettes celebration in Old Town. We met at the Hooter's on Kirkman. What is it about Hooter's and Corvettes? Whatever the reason, it was a good spot to meet and say good morning to friends. We pulled out about 8:30 for the drive to Old Town.

We took over a very nice shady area that was perfect for our 16 cars to be all together. Being in the back of the show it was not the best opportunity for People's Choice Awards and maybe next year we will have to see about parking closer to the stage. But it was a great spot for shade and talk and just enjoying the day.

Carl Smith put together FCC's beautiful entry for the Valve Cover Races. Although it did not win we learned a lot about how to build them and Carl promises to be back for next year with the lessons learned. Several other member's are talking about building one. Next year Team FCC!

A lot of onlookers thought Carl got robbed on the Concours event, it was a beautiful job. Special thanks to Robbie at Corvette Masters for donating the Valve Cover and Ron Lemon for parts donations.

While the 16 FCC cars were beautiful, there were hundreds of others worthy of note. Here are a view pics.
