Fourteen FCC Corvettes and 28 members met at the Ocoee Denny's for the trip to Fishtales Restaurant in Haines City to hold a Celebration for Betty Skelton Frankman. Betty was recently inducted into the Corvette Hall of Fame. For more information on Betty see information and web sites below the map.

As always the cars looked great and the members proved they can consume mass quantities of food. For the first time FCC member's got the chance to wear the club colors with the distribution of the new T-Shirts. The big bright logo on the back looks great. You can order yours by clicking on the store.

Betty signed a prop hanging over an archway in Fishtales. The inscription reads "Good Luck and God Speed - Betty Skelton - 9/22/2001 - Little Stinker."

Bill Williamson of Glass Toys MC'd the reception. FCC President Greg Carter presented Betty, "The First Lady of Firsts" with the first FCC t-shirt. Fishtales is owned by Alan and Sharon Johnson. Alan is president of Glass Toys and thanked everyone for their support and participation.

From Fishtale's we cruised to Lakeland's Silver Moon Drive-In. The Silver Moon is one of the last existing Drive Ins in the country. The management was kind enough to reserve covered space for us and of course the cars looked great.

FCC Secretary Connie Carter shows off the new club t-shirt.
