The FCC had their activity for Saturday February 24th in Mount Dora. We first meet at the Mobil on the Run in Sanford at 3:45 and caravanned to Inland Lakes Railway in Mount Dora at 150 West Thrid Ave. We parked in the covered public parking garage and walked three buildings to the train. We bought our tickets for the train ride from Mount Dora to Tavares and back for $12.00. We boarded the Herbie Express and just about filled one passenger car with 26 people in our club. The seats were very comfortable and roomy. They reclined in a position where you were able to sleep if need be. The windows were huge and everyone was able to view the sights.

The train pulled out about 5:00. The route along the lake was beautiful with many large homes that we all dreamt of having some day. The staff served Pizza Hut pizza; either supreme, pepperoni, veggie or cheese; and a soda. We reached Tavares just shortly after dinner; where we stopped to let another train go by. Some people took advantage of this and walked out on the porch to wave to the train/smoke. We then headed back along the lake to Mount Dora and arrived about 7:15. We all had a very relaxed enjoyable trip. Mount Dora has lovely little quant shops and dining area with brick paved roads. Many people said they would go back to visit the shops.

We headed for the cars where some people decided to stop off at Jeremiah's for a drink where they had a band playing. We all had a lovely night and I thank you all for a nice turn out.
