FCC Vettes At The Village
June 17, 2006
Saturday morning Lisa, Dave, Carl, Sally, Patrick and Karen who are all members of NCCC met at 46 and I-4 at 6:00am to caravan up to St. Augustine for the NCCC car show Vettes at the Village. We drove up 95 and arrived about 7:30am. We had to pass tech inspection first then it was around the lake to park. We cleaned the cars until 10:00 then we were waiting for the drivers meeting. Things seem to be running late at this show but we walked around and looked at a lot of nice cars. We had the drivers meeting then it was judging time. Two people in each team came around to judge interior, exterior and the engine. It was very long and hard drawn out process. The judges then told you what they found and how many points they took off. The sheet were being tallied so we went to lunch at Caddy Shack with Sam and his friend Mike who we at Myrtle Beach. Finally if was award time Peoples choice had the big trophies; Carl and Sally Smith won a trophy for second place for C3 modified. Lisa and Dave Jessing received a plaque for the top 40 cars out of about 200. For the NCCC awards, plaques were given out to Patrick Sidorchuk and Karen Blihar for first place in C3. Carl and Sally Smith won first place plaque for C3 modified. We all received trophies who went up in our club; I would say it was a good day. The Vettes at the Villages was a pretty place but must admit the day was a little unorganized.
