The FCC meet at Altamonte Mall at 8:30am and caravanned with approximently 12 cars to Yallahla Bakery up through the back roads and past lakes. We arrived about 10:00am and the parking lot was filled.

This is a German bakery, made of stone, in the middle of nowhere but the people find it. There was music under covered tents with tables and chairs. Grilled brats with sauerkraut and cold beer on ice out side. Inside the smell of baked goods where you took a number and the pastries were being sold like hot cakes. In the back the staff was baking as we waited for our number to be called like the lottery. They also had a Deli with sandwiches to your liking. We sat out side under the trees and had breakfast, some decided to have lunch from the Deli. Chatting and spending time together listening to German music it was a relaxing day. Edith the owner; a sweet lady; made her rounds to the tables and was just a delight. She and her husband had a corvette some years back so we had a lot in common.

About 12:00pm half the people went to the winery and had a good time tasting and buying fine wines. Patrick, Karen, Michael, Katreece, Frank, Sue, Mike and Ro drove up highway 19 through the Ocala National Forest to the Blue Crab Festival. We ate blue crabs, garlic crabs, buttered crabs, deviled crabs and crab cakes. We sat under a large beer tent with fans but let me tell you it was hot but not as hot as being in a convertible in 97 degree weather. There was a band playing of soft rock; then we walked around.

After driving back we stopped at Eustes Cruise'n for their Sat. Night wash aand shine show. We meet some friends there and went for a drink by the water. Later Michael Brown and Sue Stevens won on the raffle tickets.

We all had a great time all day long. I would recommend Yallhala Bakery to anyone.
